Rachel Citera

I grew up in the suburbs of NYC and graduated from Dartmouth College with honors in Economics, summa cum laude. While there, I braved a few frigid New Hampshire winters and discovered a deep interest in both behavioral economics and businesses/transactions that ‘move and shake’ industry paradigms.

I started my career in the Global Industrials Investment Banking group at Morgan Stanley before joining New Mountain Capital as a Private Equity Associate. After working with companies across the value chain, I was thrilled to pursue my passion for consumer brands by joining Verlinvest, where I dedicate my time to sourcing and executing investments, as well as providing ongoing support to our portfolio companies, including Hint and K1 Speed.

I am obsessed with finding Consumer, Retail, and Digital brands that have a unique way to capture trends in the ever-evolving world of consumer buying patterns. In particular, I am passionate about entrepreneurs seeking to create or redefine categories with a mission-orientation that effects positive change, whether healthier/sustainable food and beverage, clean beauty, or more accessible health and care.
